KG2 Portraits -inspired by Hundertwasser

KG2 artists looked at some portraits by Hundertwasser. They noticed that some kinds of lines and colours made them feel happy and some more serious. We traced the lines on his portrait. They loved how playful and silly some of his art was.

Students were asked to to think about  how they were growing up.  They used their sense of touch to feel their faces and used mirrors to look at themselves. Observing carefully, they drew their portraits. Inspired by Hundertwasser's abstract use of line and patterns they added colours and patterns to their work. Their portraits have been cut out and pasted on to their new Art books. Students are so proud of their work and love how everyone's portrait looks so different!
