WELCOME BACK!!!

It's been a wonderful summer, I'm sure you'll all agree, but isn't it great to be back! It's so good to see so many new and returning students getting excited about creating art. We've been getting to know each other in class and focusing on our essential agreement: RESPECT.

During the first cycle, students have been getting to know the Art room and how to respect materials by working together on a scavenger hunt. It's been fun watching students collaborate, solve problems and be thinkers as they figure out where all of the materials can be found in the art room!

Essential Agreements

There is just one word we need to remember in Art class... RESPECT! We respect people when we listen to each other's ideas and put up our hand. We use many materials in our class. We must treat them well and tidy up. Our beautiful Art books need to be handled especially carefully! Finally, we must respect our art work, and that of our peers. It's east to respect a piece of art that we are very proud of. You must also respect the art that you don't like so much ...and think about what you learned from making it!
