A Special Thanks to the Workers of Phase 2!

Over the past few weeks, Grade 3 students were busy designing and working on a mural outside of the Phase 2 building. The mural is a special project initiated by the students to thank the workers of Phase 2 for their hard work. On Tuesday, Grade 3 students proudly hosted a brunch for the workers. The students sang a song to the workers lead by Mrs. Clark with music by Mr Howe. It was a song that the Grade 3 students learned in music class and reminded them of the workers, who had to travel far from home to work. Rishik Janaswamy read a special thank you to the workers in Hindi and Diane Pech in English. The Grade 3 classes then presented the workers with the mural and said a big “Shukriya”! A photograph will be hung in the entrance of the new Phase 2 building and the mural will be moved to the back of the new building where you can admire it as you drive into the school each morning.

The workers were appreciative of the gesture and enjoyed shaking hands with a few students who spoke Hindi as they ate a relaxing brunch in the courtyard. A box of hats, donated by Dhruve Srinivasan and his dad were given to the workers as they relaxed in the courtyard. A very special thank you to all of the students, the teachers, and support staff who made this event happen!
